Oakley Rain Wysote Gray

Oakley Rain Wysote Gray is an aspiring Mi’gmaq fashion designer, from Listuguj First Nation. His designs are heavily influenced by Mi’gmaq petroglyphs. This androgynous teen specializes in an array of different traditional art forms (ranging from Beadwork on clothing, Porcupine quillwork on Birch and Moose hair tufting); he also happens to be curating a new two-spirited clothing line named Gigpesan (launching Spring 2021). Oakley goes by the name of Rain on social media and can be found on most social media platforms under the username @gigpesan.

About Brand

Gigpesan clothing has been in the works for about five years now and my ideal goal for this brand is to bring Mi’gmaq Designs and make them fit into the quick evolving fashion industry. Gigpesan will cater to Two-Spirited people, this means all of our pieces will be Genderless and will cater to all body types. As for the design aspect, I will implement Feminine and Masculine touches through out my clothing to show that we can accommodate to the different aspects of our personalties.
